Highlights from Previous Programs
At Basecamp, internships aren’t about coffee runs—they’re about ownership, growth, and impact. From day one, our interns work on real projects, learn from mentors who care, and experience the fast rhythm of startup life in a supportive, inclusive, and fun environment.
Here’s what some of our interns had to say about their journeys with us:
Arda Yeşildağ
Product Intern
What I learned:
My time here was both engaging and hands-on. Being able to test ideas live and truly take ownership of my work was a unique experience. I realized how much more fulfilling this is compared to traditional corporate process development.
The culture at Stoikk:
A casual, positive, and genuine environment. People are authentic and motivated, and everyone takes ownership of their work. The feedback loop was fast and constructive.
Best part of the internship:
Hands-on involvement and ownership. The chance to test, learn, and adapt in real time gave me a deeper sense of meaning in my work.
Aysu Alkaya
Data Analysis Intern
What I learned:
Being a Data Analyst in a startup is very different from what I expected—and I loved experiencing it first-hand. I was able to produce tangible outputs and felt I was contributing meaningfully.
The culture at Stoikk:
There was no ‘rookie culture’ here. The environment was open, kind, and inclusive, which made me feel like I truly belonged. Everyone was treated equally and communication was always open.
Best part of the internship:
Being trusted with meaningful tasks and being able to contribute directly. Experiencing the speed and dynamism of a startup was extremely valuable.
Bahar Atalay
Content Intern
What I learned:
I discovered a whole new world. I learned how social media and in-app content come together, and I had the chance to explore areas I might want to pursue in my career, such as brand marketing.
The culture at Stoikk:
Inclusive, enjoyable, and supportive. We weren’t treated differently as interns. We were part of the team.
Best part of the internship:
Working closely with other interns and seeing how our tasks influenced one another’s work. Having real responsibilities and receiving quick, constructive feedback was motivating.
Defne Gürbüz
Product Intern
What I learned:
Every day, I learned something new and felt real progress. Being part of the development of a new app was an amazing opportunity. Collaborating directly with other stakeholders was a great experience.
The culture at Stoikk:
Fast-paced, transparent communication with the chance to learn by working on real tasks.
Best part of the internship:
Witnessing an app come to life from scratch and approaching it from different perspectives As a Computer Science student, it helped me focus more clearly on pursuing a career in product management.
Zeynep Çınar
Marketing Intern
What I learned:
Even though I was doing something familiar, I grew from different perspectives. It felt like a Marketing 101 course—I learned terms and processes. I also explored mobile marketing, learned to use Figma, and discovered new features in the apps.
The culture at Stoikk:
Being in a smaller, agile team without the heavy layers of corporate bureaucracy was a huge advantage. The sense of teamwork and shared goals was inspiring.
Best part of the internship:
Collaborating as a team and building strong friendships during the programme. The hands-on experience was especially rewarding. I had the chance to create real outputs, not just observe.
